Vol. 17 No. 2 (2025)

This edition features articles in the Arabic language and literature that highlight crucial and strategic issues. An examination of translation techniques and cultural dilution emerging in translations of popular Indonesian literary works forms the central framework for an evaluative study of the Arabic translations of the novels Gadis Kretek (Fātatu al-Sajā’ir) and Laskar Pelangi (‘Asākir Qaws Quzaḥ). Feminist issues within the framework of literary sociology and deconstruction have presented new findings through in-depth readings of the short story ‘Awdah al-Makbūt by Nawal al-Sa'dawi and the novel Niswah al-Sūq al-’Atīq by Majid Sulaiman. This edition concludes with an analysis of the Taliban's representation on the CNN Arabic YouTube channel, which highlights the intensity of language in contemporary mass media.
