Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah mendorong transformasi signifikan pada layanan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi, terutama dalam penyediaan akses informasi melalui berbagai alat temu kembali informasi (information retrieval tools). Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji bentuk, pemanfaatan, dan tantangan penggunaan alat temu kembali informasi di lingkungan perpustakaan perguruan tinggi melalui tinjauan literatur yang bersumber dari jurnal nasional dan internasional terbitan 2018–2024. Kajian menunjukkan bahwa perpustakaan akademik semakin mengandalkan sistem temu kembali seperti OPAC, discovery tools, database ilmiah, repositori institusi, dan mesin pencari akademik untuk mendukung kebutuhan akademik sivitas perguruan tinggi. Namun, efektivitas pemanfaatan alat-alat tersebut dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, termasuk tingkat literasi informasi pengguna, kualitas metadata, kemampuan penelusuran lanjutan, serta kelayakan infrastruktur digital perpustakaan. Literatur juga menegaskan bahwa optimalisasi layanan akademik memerlukan integrasi antara sistem temu kembali informasi dengan strategi pelatihan pengguna yang sistematis, pemutakhiran konten digital, dan pengembangan antarmuka pencarian yang lebih intuitif. Artikel ini merekomendasikan perlunya penguatan literasi digital dan pelatihan temu kembali bagi mahasiswa dan dosen sebagai langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan sumber informasi akademik secara efektif dan berkelanjutan.
