All praise be to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, Diwan: Journal of Arabic Language and Literature Vol. 9, No. 17, the January - June 2017 Edition has been published and available to be accessed by readers. Diwan: Journal of Arabic Language and Literature for this edition is the final of a series of publishing processes that have been started since January.

Diwan: Journal of Arabic Language and Literature Volume 9, No. 17, January-June 2017 Edition beginning with an article written by Apria Putra. The author highlights the familiarity of Minangkabau scholars and literary works by making the work of Sheikh Abdullatif Syakur Balai Gurah as the object of study. The next article contains a discussion of literary and political relations during the Umayyad Dynasty written by Bobbi Aidi Rahman. The analysis of literary works was continued by Reflinaldi in an article that discusses the reconstruction of the spirit of Eastern nationalism in countering Western hegemony in the script of Ali Ali Bakatsir drama.

The next article is written by Shinta Fitria Utami. The author applies a comparative analysis of the authoritarian government in the Faraj and Pulang novel. The next author, Neli Putri, examines Arabic calligraphy. This edition is closed with an article from Awliya Rahmi, who describes about ecological lexical in Parno Adat Kerinci.
